Troop Booth at PazNaz August 28

Sunday, August 28, from 9am to 2pm, our sponsoring organization, Pasadena Church of the Nazarene, is holding their annual Ministry Fair – a showcase of what the different groups sponsored by PazNaz do. At our booth we will display our kayaks, projects completed for merit badges, and campout adventures.

Scouts are asked to show up in their full Class A uniform and donate some time at the booth. Since this also acts as a recruiting tool, those that man the booth could get their First Class requirement #10 signed off.

Saturday, August 20 from 8:00am to 2:00pm Blake Simon will be hosting his Eagle project at Mach 1 therapeutic horseback riding facility for disabled children. Mach 1 is in Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena (near JPL).

The project will include painting, sanding, and rebuilding stalls and other items around the facility. Wear work cloths and closed-toe shoes. Food will be served. This is a great opportunity for all scouts to get some service hours in, help out a worthy cause, and get to know others in the troop.
