October Parent Meeting

Our troop's monthly parent meeting was held on October 1, 2007. Thank you to all the committee members, adult leaders and of course our parents who participated in this important monthly meeting.

TJ Otto successfully completed his Eagle Scout Board of Review on Friday night, October 5, to become Troop 21's ninety-second Eagle Scout.
Eagle's fly in the Otto family. TJ's grandfather and father have also earned Scouting's highest rank, Eagle Scout.
Congratulations TJ, Troop 21 is proud to add you to our soaring list of Eagles.

T21 Chilao Campout!

Mr. Equitz and the leaders of T21 are taking our scouts to Chilao Campground on Friday October 19 and staying until Sunday October 21. Planning for this campout is Monday night October 15 at 7:00, before our Court of Honor.

T21 November Overnight at Bear Creek

Dear Troop members.

The Bear Creek outing is starting to take shape. We discussed some particulars about packing backpacks and what to bring/what not to bring at the 10/29 meeting. For those of you who attended and those who didn't, HERE is a checklist that will help you in figuring out what to bring and what to leave behind. We also discussed proper wilderness campsite setup. At the Monday, 11/5 meeting, we will be cooking a backpacking dinner on backpacking stoves. Check with your patrol leader if you aren't sure what to bring.
SIGN-UPS WILL BE CLOSED AFTER THE 11/5 MEETING!!

At the Monday, 11/12 meeting, we will all bring our fully packed backpacks to the meeting for a pack check (be sure to bring your checklist too). Senior scouts will be helping newer scouts check out their pack contents and make sure that they are packed effectively.
