New Scout Orientation 9am PazNaz March 14

Saturday, March 14 from 9am to 1pm all new scouts to Troop 21 should plan on attending the New Scout Orientation at the PazNaz parking lot. Scouts should come dressed in jeans and T-shirt, bring their Boy Scout Handbook, and be ready to do some Tenderfoot Rank activities and learn some knot tying.

The object of the day is to familiarize scouts and parents with Troop 21, what they can expect from the Troop, what the Troop expects from them, and get the boys started on rank advancement to Tenderfoot. Troop 21 T-shirts will be available for purchase.

This is also a great opportunity for current Scouts to meet the new members of the Troop and to demonstrated Scout spirit by helping the new guys feel comfortable.

Eagle Project Weekend! Two to Choose

Tucker Fredrickson and Scott Ma are hosting their Eagle projects this Saturday, March 21. For the new scouts candidates for Eagle Scout rank must plan, develop, and lead a service project. Participating in the project if you are working on your Second or First class rank would help satisfy requirement #2a or #3 (participation in troop activities). The benefit to all participants is friendship, fellowship, and learning experiences.

Tucker’s project is from 9am to 1pm at his house 1865 Midwick Dr, Altadena (west of Allen, south of Mendocino). Lunch and morning snacks are provided. The project is to refurbish bicycles by adding gears, breaks, seats, tires, etc.

Scott’s project is from 8am to 12 noon at the Eaton Canyon Equestrian Area. This is the second part of his project. It involves painting only, so bring your paint clothes.
