Matt Sakai Troop's Newest Eagle Scout
Monday night, January 4, Matt Sakai was awarded his Eagle rank and has become Troop 21's newest Eagle Scout, number 102.
Matt passed a review by a five member board chaired by Mr. Ken Lowe, Rose Bowl District Eagle Scout Advancement Chairman. We are all pleased to welcome Matt into the Eagle Brotherhood of Scouting.
Editor’s Note: It may seem that we are announcing new Eagle Scouts from Troop 21 every other month. Yes, our 55 year old troop has produced 104 Eagles to date, ten of them in the last year and a half. But don’t let the last number fool you. These dedicated boys have been in scouting for over five years, have worked hard, and have done great projects. In the true sense of working together, they have motivated each other to not quit, but advance.
Joshua Tree /Rock Climbing Weekend
January 15, 16, & 17 we will be heading to Joshua Tree National Park for a weekend of camping and rock climbing. Cost is $10 per person for camping and $75 if you want to climb (total $85). Sign up with Mike Sumners.
The regular Troop meeting Monday night, January 17, will be dark due to the school holiday and rock climbing weekend
