"Bike Packing"

Tired of lugging that backpack down to Gould and out to Windsor? Try "bike packing" and let the old two wheeler do the work. A couple of leader types will be doing just that, bike packing the Gould!

Want to join us? Here's what to do:

• Get your mt. bike (or something close) in shape-tires, brakes and gears.
• Put a rack on the back-bike stores or REI
• Bum a couple of canvas shopping bags from mom
• Cover rear tire area with stiff cardboard on each side to protect canvas bags from tire/gear get togethers. Secure with duct tape or equal.
• Now you get creative. Tie one bag strap from each bag together and drape over rear rack. Strap sleeping bag or tent on rear rack. Fill canvas bags and secure outer bag straps over tent with a clip or square knot.
• WEAR A HELMET and GLOVES!!!!
• Call me with questions or suprise me with your creation. Oh yes, road test this dream before our trip and be prepared for a new way to enjoy traveling in the woods.
